HEY FROM JBAY!

HEY FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!!

i’ve been living in south africa for about a month and it’s been so PEACEFUL!!!! we have been working with Timion, a nonprofit organization who supports families with children and teenagers who have cerebral palsy! they create handmade wheelchairs,standing frames, etc!!

they also have a garden that they use to support the local community and families who receive their equipment!!

We have been working a lot in the garden and it’s been so fun!!! getting to help harvest, and weed, and help out around the garden has been so cool! we also work in the workshop. the connections we have gotten to make here have been so sweet!  here’s a little poem i wrote about working in the garden!!

it’s the cool of day,

i’m tending to the garden you so graciously made for me.

i hear your footsteps as you draw near to me

you tell me to put my shears down

and you take me by the hands.

“my beloved! oh how i love you!”

your embrace floods my soul with an everlasting peace.

your fruits grow when i’m in communion with you.

we just finished our month here and are moving to Johannesburg, a bigger city in south africa! we will be working with Impact Africa doing OUTREACH AND EVANGELISM!! WOOHOO I AM SO PUMPED! i’m so expectant for what the Lord is going to do through our team and all the growth and challenges that will come from this next month!! here are some things you can be praying for:

• unity in our teams! (on of our brother teams will be doing all ministry with us this next month! SO EXCITING!!)
• to walk in the confidence of the Holy Spirit and all the work He will do through us as we encounter new people!
• PEACE IN ABUNDANCE!
• the fruits of the spirit to be extremely evident in our teams
• pray that we would be people who pray boldly and continuously!
• our eyes would remain fixed on ministry even on “fun days”
