Consider The Lilies

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies in the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin”

Matthew 6:28 

 This is one of my favorite verses, it has been for a long time. Maybe it’s because I work at a flower shop and am constantly surrounded by the beauty of flowers… but more than likely, it’s because it’s comforting. It’s comforting to know the Creator of the universe is taking care of me. Either way the scripture stands firm. God always has and always will provide for me. I was reminded of the Lords faithfulness this week. He provided for me this week and helped me raise more in one day than i have in the last month! (I know i shouldn’t be surprised because He’s just that good but WOW) Fundraising for this trip is something that can look extremely intimidating!! And it can be if your focus is on the actual amount rather than the One who will provide. I have so much peace knowing that my Heavenly Father will provide on this trip whether that be spiritually or financially!

With all that being said I pray that you will remember to “consider the lilies” while you go through life! It’s SOO easy to get caught up in tasks or numbers but you have to remember to surrender your focus to the One who gives you things to focus on!!! LIFE IS SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR WORRIES!
